The Multimedia Writing Festival at Morlaix
The third ‘Nouveaux Gutenberg’ festival of multimedia writing was held at Morlaix in December 2001. Four topics were featured: interactive learning, the development of the interactive press, the new economy, and discovery of multimedia creative designers and artists, such as the Compagnie Lackaal Duckric, which put on a multimedia show. Visitors could try out of the latest video games and educational CD ROMs, and attend discussion panels with creative designers, writers, project managers, Website developers, and more. A giant screen projected documentaries on multimedia creations, demos, interviews, and profiles. Productions by Supinfocom students, a multimedia bookstore, a Film Night, animated images, plastic arts exhibits, comic books and video were also featured at the festival. www.nouveaux-gutenberg.com/ www.artsdanslarue.com/nouveaux-gutenberg The Virtual Studio by Triptik Films

Tralalère is a cultural-fun portal for children from 3 to 10. Participants in five different countries update the fun, colorful website regularly. A sound chart identifies five frame sets: Tralafaire (customized culture guide for parents); Tralazique (a juke-box playing streamed songs, nursery stories, fairy tales and stories, designed with musical partners); Tralazine (interactive magazine); Tralartistes (where children can find their favorite performers); and Tralajeux (where games and contests win Tralapoints for the children). Children can send their friend electronic cards with ‘Tralacartes’. www.tralalere.com An Original Search Engine Called Kartoo
